The origins of BOWEN Cognac stem
from a particularly romanesque
adventure.
At the turn of the century, the founder
of the brand, who inherited several
estates in the region of Cognac, driven
by his passion for travel and
exoticism, decided to mix business with
pleasure by representing his companies
in all four corners of the world.

At that time, his favourite territories were to
be found in the French colonies in Africa and
Indochina.
In the course of one of his trips, he met an
outstanding lady, Elisabeth Bowen,with a
passion for nature and wild life, who literally
captivated him by her audacity and thirst for
freedom. It was especially for her that he crafted
a particularly elegant cognac which still bears her
name to this day.
